The Alief ISD Transportation Department strives to provide safe, punctual and courteous transportation to the students of the school district.  The Alief ISD Transportation provides regular morning and afternoon bus stops for eligible students attending their home campus as determined by the Alief ISD established attendance boundaries. Safe and efficient bus stops are established for each grade level.  Each student is pre-assigned to the safest established bus stop for their destination.

A student should be picked up and dropped off only at the designated stop.  For safety reasons, students should arrive at the bus stop 10 minutes prior to their scheduled pick-up time.

It's the law!  Motorists must not attempt to pass a school bus when its red lights are flashing.
Observe the 20 mph speed limit in school zones.

SMARTtag Parent App Becomes Available July 22, 2024

Things you need to know:

  • As of July 22, 2024, the SMARTtag mobile Parent App has replaced the Parent Portal (Web access)

  • At the conclusion of the day on July 19, 2024, the Parent Portal is no longer in use. Parents must download the Parent App in order to continue viewing student ridership activity.

  • The Parent App is available for Android and IOS.

  • Please see the SMARTtag link below for additional information.
